Overview
Hand Wave recognises sign language (ASL fingerspelling) and turns it into speech, with web and iOS clients backed by a small Python inference service.
How it works
The clients capture hand video and send it to a neural-network backend hosted on Modal. The model draws on fingerspelling research such as MiCT-RANet and the FSBoard dataset. Merges to main run tests and ship TestFlight builds and the website together.
