Overview

Look at Japanese text, triple-tap your Brilliant Labs Frame glasses, and an English translation appears in the lens about 3 seconds later.

How it works

Frame's camera takes a photo, and the phone runs Google ML Kit text recognition and on-device translation, so no cloud is needed. The translated text is sent back and drawn on Frame's display. The demo is set up for Japanese to English, but other scripts are possible.
