Overview
SightlineAI is an open-source accessibility platform that helps blind and visually impaired people understand and navigate their surroundings, with a live web demo.
How it works
It combines computer vision for real-time scene understanding and hazard awareness, OCR for reading documents, and conversational AI (Gemini or Qwen) behind a FastAPI backend. The output is spoken guidance in several languages.
