Overview
The open-source firmware for the TRMNL e-ink display, a battery-powered e-paper screen that shows plugins and dashboards rendered on a server.
How it works
After Wi-Fi setup through a captive portal, the device swaps its MAC address for an API key and then simply polls the server's display endpoint for its next image. The ESP32-C3 spends most of its time in deep sleep to save battery, waking on a timer or a button press. Errors are reported back to the server as logs.
