Overview
HomePlate shows TRMNL mashups and Home Assistant dashboards on Inkplate e-paper boards, from the Inkplate 5 up to the Inkplate 13 Spectra, with a month or more of battery life.
How it works
The ESP32 firmware runs several 'activities': a Home Assistant screenshot, a TRMNL mashup, a guest Wi-Fi QR code, device info or a text message sent over MQTT. It uses both ESP32 cores with FreeRTOS, reports sensor and battery data back to Home Assistant over MQTT, and wakes on touch pads.
