Overview

NVIDIA-AI-IOT web UI for live VLM testing on the affordable Orin Nano Developer Kit—camera in, model out, without writing custom inference glue each time.

How it works

A web UI streams your camera to any VLM backend and shows live analysis and benchmarks, including on a Jetson Orin Nano.

Why it's interesting

Live VLM WebUI streams your webcam to a vision-language model and shows the analysis live, which makes it a quick way to compare models and benchmark hardware. It needs a VLM backend, Ollama, vLLM or a cloud API, and runs on Linux PCs, DGX Spark, Apple Silicon Macs, Windows through WSL2 and Jetson Orin or Thor. The interface opens at https://localhost:8090. Jetson setup has a specific gotcha in the README: it requires JetPack 6.x or 7.0, because JetPack 5.x ships Python 3.8, which is not supported, so use Docker or upgrade. Docker is the recommended route on Jetson, with a script that detects the platform and starts the right container, and there is a kiosk guide for a display that opens the camera demo at login.
