Overview
A digital picture frame on an ESP8266 that keeps generating AI images from a text prompt you type in and shows them on a 3.5-inch TFT screen, refreshing about every 20 seconds.
How it works
The firmware is plain C on Espressif's ESP8266_RTOS_SDK (FreeRTOS) for a Wemos D1 mini with an ILI9488 320×480 SPI display. Images come from a self-hosted Kandinsky-3 server running on a GPU machine on the same network. Wiring diagrams and 3D-printable case files are in the repo; the README is in German.
