Overview
Starmoon is a fully open-source, compact conversational AI device for chatting with custom AI characters, with an emphasis on empathetic, emotion-aware conversation. It is now deprecated in favour of ElatoAI.
How it works
You assemble an ESP32 device from off-the-shelf parts. It streams voice to a self-hostable backend (Python and Next.js) that uses Deepgram speech-to-text, GPT-4o and Azure TTS. A trends dashboard analyses the emotions in your conversations over time.
