Overview
EchoLens is a pair of ESP32-CAM-based AI smart glasses for deaf and mute people: they turn speech into text and sign language into speech.
How it works
An ESP32-CAM on the glasses captures video, and a connected computer runs the AI models (developed in Jupyter notebooks) for speech-to-text and ASL sign recognition. ASL meanings come from Start ASL. The authors note sign interpretation may not be fully accurate, and a demo video and French presentation are in the repo.
