Overview

Kevin Ly's desk gauge: a long Waveshare ESP32 screen showing his remaining Claude and Codex allowance side by side. His Mac checks the numbers in the background and the screen picks them up over Wi-Fi; the screen itself only needs USB power. No code or parts list has been published.

How it works

A small service on his Mac checks Claude and Codex usage in the background; the ESP32 screen polls it over HTTP on Wi-Fi. After 30 seconds offline the bars grey out, and ageing account readings get an OLD DATA flag. The Mac must be awake for updates.
